Bronze Scandinavian Norse Mammen Axe Pendant
About 1 1/2" high and 1 1/8" wide at the base, this design was patterned after a ceremonial axe found in Mammen, Jutland, Denmark. It dates from 970 and marks the beginning of the Mammen art style which was names after the burial site the original axe was found. This pendant has a depiction of the Norse god Odin at the top of the axe. This is a double sided piece.
